I’ve watched this five or six times today, it’s the first I heard about Moodymann but apparently he’s a Detroit living legend. I mean look at his live show, this is really great.

I love when guitars sound like this. The song starts and you know it’s going to be good, and they let it go for a bit to get you really excited for when he starts singing. It’s a great lying in bed song, probably the waking up part or falling asleep if you’re feeling really good.

Geto Boys - What? (click to download)
Every couple months (days) I open up iTunes and put on Josephine Foster or something and see my reflection in the screen and I’m like WHAT ARE YOU DOOOOING!!! And I go into this trance and listen to Geto Boys and Project Pat for a couple hours (8:30am to 11:30 for example) and feel better.
The song is from a different CD, but that cover is the best.
